Support Specialist

Orviko is hiring a high-ownership WordPress Support Specialist for a U.S.-based agency partnership. You will begin with 1-2 months of guided onboarding and training under our team; once the training period is complete and the fit is confirmed, you will work directly with the U.S.-based agency full-time and report to their team.

Full-time Remote

U.S.-Based Agency

80,000 – 110,000 BDT

Deadline: June 21, 2026

1-2 Month Training

30+ Client Sites

Direct Agency Reporting

Role Summary
  • Own day-to-day WordPress support across a diverse portfolio of 30+ client sites, including B2B, healthcare, SaaS, nonprofit, and service businesses.

  • Work through a ticketing system, Asana, Slack, and email with clear updates, documented decisions, and dependable turnaround.

  • Handle repeatable maintenance work with discipline, and troubleshoot ambiguous technical issues independently before escalating.

Training & Reporting Path
  • For the first 1-2 months, you will work under the Orviko team for guidance, workflow training, quality expectations, and role preparation.

  • After the training period, once we are confident in the fit and working standards, you will move into direct full-time work with the U.S.-based agency.

  • Once transitioned, your day-to-day responsibilities, communication, and reporting will be handled directly with that agency's team.

Schedule & Collaboration
  • You will collaborate with a U.S.-based agency team and support client work that may require mixing part of your schedule with U.S. time zone working hours.

  • The schedule is not meant to be rigid minute-by-minute; you will have 3-4 hours of flexibility when planning your day around support coverage and ticket priorities.

Maintenance & Updates
  • Apply WordPress core, plugin, and theme updates safely, reviewing changelogs and testing on staging when risk is elevated.

  • Manage PHP version compatibility, database cleanup, routine optimization, and post-update visual QA.

  • Proactively flag and fix issues noticed during active work, even when they are not the original ticket scope.

Security & Monitoring
  • Use ManageWP for multi-site monitoring, updates, backups, and security checks.

  • Detect, quarantine, clean, and document malware incidents with a careful recovery process.

  • Maintain SSL certificates, brute force protection, login hardening, firewall rules, uptime alerts, and vulnerability patching.

Hosting, DNS & Cloudflare
  • Manage client sites on Cloudways, including server health, staging environments, backup schedules, restores, and Safe Updates.

  • Handle domain and DNS changes, Cloudflare DNS, CDN, WAF rules, and performance-related server escalations.

  • Support occasional WordPress Multisite networks and understand the operational differences from standard installs.

Content, Front-End & Light Development
  • Publish and format blog posts, update pages, menus, footers, sidebars, forms, images, SEO metadata, and tracking pixels.

  • Make CSS, spacing, typography, color, responsive, and layout adjustments using Elementor, Divi, Gutenberg, and ACF.

  • Debug PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, plugin conflicts, white screens, 500 errors, redirects, WooCommerce settings, and checkout issues.

Required Experience
  • 3+ years of hands-on WordPress development, maintenance, and support experience.

  • Direct experience with ManageWP and Cloudways is required.

  • Strong WordPress security fundamentals: hardening, monitoring, malware cleanup, and incident documentation.

  • Proficiency in HTML and CSS, plus solid working knowledge of PHP and JavaScript.

  • Experience with WooCommerce, ACF, GA4, Google Tag Manager, Elementor, Divi, and/or the Gutenberg block editor.

  • Fluent English communication is required: you must be able to write clearly, explain technical issues in plain language, and speak confidently with a U.S.-based agency team.

Preferred
  • Previous work inside a digital marketing, U.S.-based agency, or multi-client support environment.

  • Familiarity with Git or version control workflows.

  • Experience with Wordfence, Sucuri, iThemes Security, UpdraftPlus, Cloudways Snapshots, and redirect management.

Who You Are
  • You take ownership of client sites and do not cut corners on maintenance, security, documentation, or QA.

  • You communicate proactively, flag risks early, and document what you found, what you changed, and why.

  • You are comfortable working asynchronously across time zones with a remote-first team.

What This Role Offers
  • Salary: 80,000 – 110,000 BDT/month based on experience and fit.

  • Orviko-led training and guidance before transitioning into direct full-time work with a U.S.-based agency.

  • Full-time, stable remote employment with a clearly defined WordPress support scope.

  • Direct access to leadership, short feedback loops, and room to grow as the client portfolio expands.

  • Consistent, interesting technical work across a broad mix of real client websites.
